The viewpoint of Betancuria in Fuerteventura with the sculpture of the Guanches

An amazing viewpoint of Betancuria, which is situated in the center of the Island of Fuerteventura with the great sculptures of the Guanches. A fantastic opportunity not to missed to take photos, the views are incredible and a memory to take home to show friends and family.

On the road FV-30 go up the mountain in the direction of Betancuria just after passing the entrance to Morro Belosa viewpoint, follow the road for only a few more meters, then there is a small parking on both sides of the road.

The viewpoint of Guise and Ayose is located in the cutthroat called Corrales de Guise, from Santa Ynez Valley and Betancuria.

You can navigate in this Google map from Betancuria.

A surprising viewpoint is located in the center of the island of Fuerteventura with great sculptures of the Guanche Kings.

In this unique viewpoint you can enjoy a short break in your tour of the island of Fuerteventura, there is comfortable parking on both sides of the road, looking at the map above you will see two distinct parts, the upper facing north will see Cotillo views towards the bottom and facing the south will see the views to the town of Betancuria.

Children playing with the Guanche Kings.* In this viewpoint you will find 2 great sculptures representing the (menseys) Guanche kings who led the island before the Conquest, about the year 1402, at this time the island was divided into two kingdoms, north Maxorata which was led by king and south JANDÍA Guise was led by King Ayose. These kingdoms were divided by a line running from Puerto de la Peña to the Barranco de la Torre which would be the boundary between the parts of Guise and Ayose. The sculptures are 4.5 meters tall, impressive when you are standing next to them and are by Emiliano Hernandez.

A fantastic opportunity not to be missed to take photos, is a good souvenir to take home to show friends and family and also the views are amazing.

Myguide your guide from Fuerteventura recommends you visit this place on your holidays on the island.
